Philippines iGaming GGR Falls 20% in Q2 2026

The gross gaming revenue of the Philippine gambling industry reached $1.43 billion during the second quarter of 2026, marking a 20.3 percent decline compared to the same period last year. The contraction was primarily driven by reduced earnings from online casino operations.

Revenue Distribution Across Segments

Commercial licensed casinos generated $737 million, accounting for 51.5 percent of the total market. Online gambling platforms contributed $648 million, representing 45.2 percent of industry earnings. Facilities managed directly by PAGCOR recorded $47.2 million in revenue, making up the remaining 3.3 percent.

Alejandro Tengco, head of PAGCOR, attributed the revenue decrease to a combination of market conditions. Alongside the downturn in the online gambling sector, he cited rising inflation and ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East as additional pressures on industry performance.
